To empower expectant women/couples to make informed choices so they can have confidence for labor, childbirth, and breastfeeding through physical, mental and spiritual preparation.

1)To provide excellent childbirth education with a Biblical point of view for those who need help navigating this important time in their lives.

2)To provide comprehensive preparation for those called to minister to pregnant and birthing women, through certification of childbirth educators, birth doulas, and postpartum doulas.

 Our Values

  1. We believe in the Holy Trinity: God the Father, Jesus his Son who lived a sinless life, died on the cross, and rose again to give us eternal salvation, and the Holy Spirit who guides and comforts us in this life.

  2. We believe that life begins at conception and that conception, pregnancy, labor and birth are a beautiful picture of being born again.

  3. We believe in the Biblical view of marriage: between one man and one woman.

  4. We believe that children and breastfeeding are blessings from the Lord, not burdens as current society portrays.

  5. We believe this ministry has been called to meet the childbirth education needs of expectant women/couples, for those planning a hospital, home, or birthing center birth. We also believe this ministry has been called to prepare and certify childbirth educators, birth doulas, and postpartum doulas.

  6. We believe that childbirth education is important to learn from a Christian viewpoint, avoiding techniques that conflict with the Bible. We teach effective comfort measures without teaching Eastern religious/New Age methods such as hypnotism, yoga, or Eastern meditation.

  7. We believe that it is vital to learn techniques to increase comfort in labor and help labor progress.

  8. We believe that to make informed decisions in labor and birth, one needs to learn benefits and risks of medical interventions.

  9. We believe that financial, location, and time constraints should not be a barrier to attending Christian childbirth education classes, so this ministry will provide economical and convenient class options.

Our Code of Ethics

The Bible is the foundation for our Code of Ethics:

Our Team

Susan White, MS, CNM, APRN

Founder, Owner, Instructor

Susan received her BSN from the University of Louisville, Certificate of Nurse-Midwifery from Frontier Nursing Service, and MS in Midwifery from the University of Philadelphia. She has taught childbirth education classes and breastfeeding classes, worked as a labor and delivery nurse in the Navajo Nation, and practiced full-scope nurse-midwifery.

Susan’s most recent role was focused on improving women’s birth experiences and obstetric practice through implementing evidence-based care. Since the Lord helped her publish the Birth and the New Birth devotional, He has opened the doors to start the CECF certification program for Doulas and Childbirth Educators.

Crystal Lange, CCE-CECF, Birth & Postpartum Doula

Instructor

Crystal Lange is a perinatal educator, certified doula, and passionate advocate for growing families. Since entering birth work in 2020, she has had the privilege of authoring and co-authoring childbirth education curriculum for a local hospital and supporting more than 200 families each year through evidence-based education and compassionate doula care.

Crystal believes families deserve truthful, balanced information so they can make informed decisions with confidence. As a Christian, Crystal views birth work as an opportunity to serve others with compassion, excellence, and grace. She feels honored to be part of your journey and looks forward to equipping and encouraging you along the way.

Dana Williams, RN, CECF CCE, CBD, CPD

Instructor

Dana is a Registered Nurse with 28 years of experience primarily in pediatric care and has a lifelong passion for supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. She has served as a volunteer nurse and limited OB ultrasound provider at a crisis pregnancy center, deepening her commitment to compassionate, evidence based perinatal support.

Dana holds certifications in Childbirth Education, Birth Doula, and Postpartum Doula work through CECF, where she now teaches certification courses. As an active childbirth educator and doula, she brings clinical expertise, hands on experience, and heartfelt enthusiasm to every class. Her love for birth began at age 12 when she assisted at her first delivery, and it continues to inspire her work today.

Christina Laughner, AS

Office Manager, Special Projects

Christina holds an Associate Degree in Paralegal Studies from Daymar College. She taught at a career college for over eight years instructing in both the paralegal and criminal justice programs. Christina passionately understands the role of the adult learner balancing continuing education and family with the positive mindset needed to achieve success. She possesses over 20 years of experience researching both legislative and regulatory questions. Christina believes in providing both excellent customer service for achieving the mission of CECF. 

Christina is currently working on CECF special projects, including researching and applying for state approvals of doula certification programs, so that CECF can provide services to more women.
