Priscilla Ditzel is a certified birth doula who obtained her training through Childbirth Education for the Christian Family. She serves women and families in the Frederick and surrounding areas, including the DMV area and extending up to some parts of southern Pennsylvania.
She is passionate about the empowerment of families with knowledge about physiological birth so that they can make informed decisions that align with their goals with confidence and calm. She loves serving families in the sacred work of childbirth and helping them experience birth with peace, autonomy, and dignity through individualized, compassionate, evidence-based support. Priscilla is committed to assisting families as they seek to obtain their birth goals, no matter how much those goals may vary from family to family.
Before pursuing birth work, she became licensed in cosmetology and has worked in the hair industry for 16 years. She is a mother, a book worm, a knitter, and she educates her children at home full-time. She is active in her local church as she serves in nursery and Sunday school and she adores a good cup of coffee, a quiet sunrise, and fellowshipping with the body of Christ whenever any of those blessings are available to her.
Looking forward, her next steps are to pursue further education. She would love to help mothers breastfeed with peace and success through learning curves, and is interested in childbirth education. She is passionate about pursuing continued education so that she may share it with others and be a pilot light; keeping the consecrated flame of motherhood and building up others who tend to the same flame.

As a Christian, I am confident that God has designed our bodies to support life and to give birth. However, sin has broken this beautiful design, so birth is hard work and does not always look like we hope. Though I can’t make any promises, a knowledgable support person by your side can give you the tips and support you need to have the birth you are hoping for.
Even in its difficulty, birth is a beautiful and deeply spiritual experience. I would be honored to support you in this amazing and unique experience.
